Add Some Spring to Your Event

With the spring season coming into full effect I thought I would give some ideas for a wonderful spring themed event! Now, initially what some people think about when they thing spring is Easter. However, I will not be having any aspects relating to Easter. I say this because not everyone celebrates Easter so you must be conscious of that when designing a spring themed event.

This color pallet has great examples of spring colors but I wanted to also note that one isn’t limited to just these colors. Any pastel colors or anything vibrant. Mainly the colors to avoid would be neutrals, black and grays.

Whenever I think of spring I imagine all the flowers blooming once the cold of winter starts to fade away. The use of fresh or even artificial flowers would be the perfect touch to any spring themed event.

I would definitely incorporate a lot of fruit. Lemons, strawberries, oranges and pineapples would all be great accents to the spring theme. You can also incorporate the fruits into the decorations like the centerpieces pictured above. I would also serve cucumber and lemon water. You could also try pineapple water as well. Mixing these with the water gives it a very light and refreshing taste. Below are some amazing spring dishes to serve at your event!

Appetizer: Raspberry Pear Salad with Glazed Walnuts

Entrée: Garlicky Grilled Tilapia With Couscous

Dessert: Fresh Fruit Tarts

With all of these elements you should have a wonderful spring themed event! However, just remember to avoid things directly related to Easter such as rabbits, Easter eggs and carrots. Please comment below with your favorite spring themed recipes.
